Nowadays, the servings that are put on our plates are, for lack of a better word, gigantic! Because the servings are big and they are on our plate, we end up eating way more than we are supposed to. The easiest way to avoid eating to much is… eating when you are hungry and stopping when you are full!
It’s a simple concept, yet a lot of people don’t understand what it really means. Here it is: Eat only when you are hungry, not just because it is lunch time, and stop when you are satisfied and not stuffed!
How much is one serving?
I usually measure it by putting a food amount that matches my fist, no more no less, and eating that. It usually satisfies me and helps train my body to eat the right amount!
So the next time a huge plate of nachos is put on your plate, grab a few off, eat them, and then really decide if you are still hungry.
Here is the saying that keeps me on track: “Nothing tastes as good as healthy feels”. It’s so true!
