Many times at parties and events, the snacks and food are finger food and are laid out on big plates. Because of this, people are more likely to eat more because they have no visual record of how much they have put in their mouth. That leads to overeating, and if done frequently, weight gain. There is, however, a way to avoid this!:


I have found that the easiest way to control your portions is grabbing a small plate and putting food on there. That way, you know exactly how much you have eaten and you can consciously choose how much is going into your mouth!

If there are no plates, there are most likely napkins and that works just as good.

By controlling your portions it is less likely that you will overeat and gain weight, but you can still enjoy yourself!
